Well, I can never seem to decide on what to blog about. So I figure I'll write about some thing related to the site for my overdue blog entry. I have been looking for ways to motivate my self to produce a quality site with quality content to share with who ever happens my way. In this process I have reviewed and looked over a lot of services and related gimmicks to making money from a web site. After much looking, I found Clicksor. A add service some what similarity to Google add sense program.

 

After reviewing their requirements and seeing that they do not have issue with my gallery that has material refused by many out there. I sign up with them. They approve me and I follow their instructions to add the code to my site for their adds. Well, I go through the process and set my options for the adds and so on as instructed and plop the code on the site. Well, I go to test how this works out and I am suddenly plagued by pop-under adds. I re due the process on their site and double check that the pop-under add option is disabled. Still, I have painful pop-under adds on my site. So I contact my account rep with Clicksor.

 

I sent the following message:

  
    I am using the the regular setup feature to generate the add code
for my site, http://madpinger.com/index.php and even tho I have chosen
NOT to use inter-Ad or Pop-under add's, they display when I use the
code provided.  I have tried a few different things to disable them to
no avail.  If you could, please assist with this issue.
 

To which they reply:

  
“Based on Review Team report, your website has not met 
our traffic requirement of
 having 5,000 page views per day. You can view our site requirements at
“Omitted URL”
You can apply for other ad formats after a usage of Clicksor Pounder for 2 to 3 weeks
 or when you think your website has met our traffic requirements.
Feel free to contact me if you have any further questions.
Regards,“
 

I then replied

  
“    Now, that honestly seems rather underhanded to me.  I'm under the
impression that I have been approved while it turns out its really
with restrictions and the instructions I'm given to add the add code
to my site is designed to let me choose how I want the adds to
display, yet I do not really have a choice ?   I do not want to
subject my visitors to pop-up or pop-under adds and will not.  That
would be harmful to the growth of my site as I continue to build its
traffic in my opinion.  This has honestly left me with a rather bad
taste in my mouth.  I feel this has been rather Dishonest on your alls
behalf.”
 

I left it at that.

 

So I ask, Why approve me then. For that matter, why tell me I'm approved and then leave me under the guise of having a choice about how their adds are displayed.

 

Perhaps it is petty of me, tho I feel that it was a underhanded way to do me. I was indeed aware of the traffic requirements before I applied. I applied any way. I do feel this was dishonest on their behalf. To approve me with such restrictions and not inform me.
